V-EPE-4 E1 Protection Switching Device is “1+1”protective device, when it is used in pairs, the switching between the two transmission routers causes no signal damage. This device possesses perfect network management function, when the device works properly, it can monitor all the signal quality and the switching information between them. When the main E1 channel in switching office is out of work, the transmission channel can be switched to spare E1 through network management system of remote device or the switchgears on device panel of the local device.
This protective device is applied to the data transmission line of image business, bank and exchange; The important links of National Defense, Security, Party and Government Department and Customs; Important 2Mb/s lines which need protection of Public Security, Electrical Power, and so on.

*It transmits E1 signals it receives from user’s device to two transmission routers, this is the concept of “double sending”. It will select the E1 signals of good quality automatically and transmits them to the customer device.
* (PCM 30 framing mode) is available to the suggested framing PCM circuit of ITU-T G.703, G704 and G.823.
*(Non-PCM framing mode) is available for the non-framing fracture’s E1 circuit such as multi-links protocol format IP circuit, CISCOHDLC format’s point to point dedicated circuit, LAPF format’s frame relay circuit, LAPB format’s X.25 exchanged circuit in groups.
* It has two main functions: monitoring of transmission channel performance and controlling of non-damage switching.
